From the moment we are born, until the moment of our passing our breath is always there for us. But even though it shows up for us all the time, we all take it for granted. Forget it’s even there sometimes.

But watch what happens here…when you notice it. When you check in with it. It really feels, hey?

What is Conscious Connected Breathwork?

Conscious Connected Breathwork is a powerful practice that tunes into the innate wisdom of your body to enable healing, release tension and expand consciousness. It is a deeply profound and magical - no single experience is ever the same.

The technique of CCB is a rhythmic, open-mouth breath with no pause between the inhale and the exhale. This creates a continuous flow of breath that connects you to the present moment and unlocks the body's natural ability to heal itself.

What happens in a breathwork session?

One of the things I love most about this style of breathwork is the journey that we embark on together, with the help of music. The full session is designed by me, with a theme in mind and with a curated list of music that will allow you to ebb & flow, ease & release, invite in & let go - throughout the different stages of the breathwork.

Each experience of meeting the breath is, in my own experience, different every time. For some it can be a deeply healing experience where the body physically releases stored emotion and trauma from the body. For some, it can feel totally euphoric and joyful. For others it can feel challenging. Cathartic. Deeply spiritual. Enlightening. Energizing or deeply restful.

But for all, it will transform your relationship with yourself, your body and your breath and open up an experience that is there for you to be present with and open-minded about. Knowing that you are held in a safe, secure, trauma-informed space.

Who is breathwork suitable for?

Breathwork is open and available for all. However there are a few contraindications to be aware of, where this style of breathwork may not be suitable.

If you are taking any medications or have any medical conditions such as, but not being limited to: Heart conditions, high blood pressure, depression, chronic anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, delicate pregnancy, please advise me.

If you have any of the following, I would advise you to check with your doctor before doing any breathwork as it may not be safe. Epilepsy, Detached Retina, Glaucoma, Osteoporosis that is serious enough whereby moving around actively could cause potential issues. Cardiovascular disease and/or irregularities including prior heart attack. Family history of aneurysms. Strokes, seizures, TIAs or other brain/neurological condition or disease.

Breathwork can also be experienced in a group setting or through a series of deeply healing 1-1 sessions.

1-1 Breathwork Experiences

Visit me in-person or online for my 1-1 breathwork experiences. These sessions are bookable as a minimum of 3 sessions to allow us to unlock your own relationship to your breath, your body and your mind. Together we will work through a number of functional breathwork exercises, as well as concious connected breathwork journeys to unlock greater levels of healing. As a qualified and accredited coach and trauma-informed breathwork facilitator, I will work with you to hold the space for whatever needs to be felt and released through the power of breathwork.

Groups of up to 3

If you would like to experience a breathwork journey with a loved one, family members or friends - this can be facilitated at my studio. These sessions can be deeply transformative for the group and are a great option if you would like to try a breathwork journey with your closest friends and family beside you.

I have done many breathwork sessions but this was by far my favourite. I loved everything about it from the pace of the session to the music played. Donna was concise and clear in her instructions and created a beautiful nurturing space for us to enter into. I was very sad when the whole thing ended as I wanted to stay in the blissful state I found myself in. I cannot wait to delve into more of Donnas breathwork sessions and see what unfolds.
