When I met the breath, everything changed…

I knew from a very young age that I was different. I had a huge imagination, I looked at the world with awe and wonder and I had a thirst for learning and reading. I had a deep hunger to discover it all.

Over a decade ago…my life changed.

It had been 3 years since my grandmother was diagnosed with a chronic lung condition, COPD. 3 years since my Mum became her carer. And 3 years since Sunday afternoon trips came with an extra guest…an oxygen bottle.

In the Spring of 2014, after developing vascular dementia on top of her COPD, our wonderful Nan lost her battle and passed away; peacefully, in her breath.

After the loss of my grandmother, life on the outside resumed. But the grief inside was loud. At times debilitating.

And it didn’t stop. Over the following 12 months, I attended more funerals than I had ever attended weddings. Losing loved ones and friends to illness, tragedy and suicide.

I felt like my own breath was starting to suffocate me. And I knew, I needed to do something about it.

And so, after a late night Google…I found a local meditation class that was running for the next 8-weeks…

That course changed the direction of my life, in more ways than one. It opened up a whole new world of discovery for me. And most of all…it reconnected me with the one thing I was taking for granted, that already lived inside of me and supported me from day one…my breath.

We take for granted, the things we cannot see.

Through those weeks of learning to breathe a little slower and a little deeper…it felt like the lights within me were starting to twinkle again.

And so I made a commitment.

If I could continue to be more mindful with my breath. and think more about the signals that my body was creating through feelings…then perhaps I could rediscover who I was - underneath all the stories that had already played out in my life.

The stories that told me I wasn’t good enough. The stories that told me I would lose everything I loved. The stories that filled me with fear.

And so, I kept going. Kept following the breadcrumbs to learn and unlock more about myself.

A decade later, after thousands of hours of discovery I am here to help you. To unlock those treasures that lie within. To remove the weeds that have made their roots felt.

To create lasting change to your whole self.

A self and a soul that truly matters.

“A truly life enhancing experience which I will never forget.”
